Niche Program Success
So what do we consider successful?
This is an easy question, make a profit. Preferably, do this by calculating all costs, overhead and your own wage – time invested- sometimes people forget our time is worth money. The real question to that subject, how much is your time worth to you? $10 -$50, less or more an hour? Don’t cut yourself short. Now subtract that from how much you made from the specific niche. We do yearly because a niche takes time and effort to build and in most scenarios you need a domain name and website which should be purchased for a year and evaluated as that year closes. You always have the option to continue or dump both. If your profit was on the + side it’s time to make some choices. Was it enough of a profit to keep, can you increase productivity, will you see a difference with a bit more effort on your part, and what was the traffic to conversion ratios?
Most people have the idea that niche programs don’t work. Possibly a bad experience with a bogus program or the fear of trying and putting in the much needed effort to make the program successful.Remember, we learn from mistakes. You can also evaluate how a niche program works using a specific niche or a flex niche. A flex niche allows you to switch out products or offer a variety of different products. Say for instance: Cool things for sale, etc. My example for a specific niche is interestingly funny:
I say -sort of funny- niche but for many it’s not funny and webcamming is quite fun. I guess I chuckle because I know some of the goofy things people do on cam. Anyway, we had a company do a quick survey of women and the majority complained about guys on video chat, ding, an idea. So we wrote a guide that would assist men in how they looked at the situation. We sold 25 to 50 of those a day when we had that guide at just under five bucks, good profit. We now are selling twice as many for a better price. It works why? It’s good information! Men who purchase the guide have more fun, attracted more women, and achieved the goal they were originally struggling to accomplish.
What makes a niche program work?
A solution to a problem! That’s it, that is the one, key, item you need to keep in mind when coming up with a niche. Making someone’s life easier, helping people find a specific item faster, better quality, and at the best price. Specific advice, a better way of doing something, or even offering your talent, possibilities are endless and left to your imagination. Now of course you have to do the research (Are people looking? Is the niche flooded?) and get website traffic, but, that will be another post.
